Connor Lloyd is a 3-year-old boy who was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia, a few weeks after his 3rd birthday. December 11, 2017 is a day his family will never forget. They took Connor to the doctor with suspicions of strep throat. Fast forward a few hours later and they were at the OU Children's Hospital ER being told that Connor had Leukemia and that he was being admitted to immediately begin treatment.
As of today, 3-1/2 months later, Connor is doing much better, but still has a long treatment journey ahead of him. He is currently in remission, which was achieved in the first 28 days of his induction phase. This happens to 98% of kids will ALL Leukemia during this initial phase. That said, he will undergo chemotherapy and a variety of other treatments for approximately the next three years to ensure the Leukemia does not come back. He has already undergone 20+ chemo treatments to date, with dozens more to occur over the next 3 years.
Connor lives at home with his parents, one older brother - Gavyn, and his dog Bella. Connor is currently responding well to treatment, making it easier to spend time together with his family, which is something they appreciate even more now. Some of Connor's favorite things to do are playing with his favorite toys, which currently include Trolls, PJ Masks, Paw Patrol, and Play Doh. In addition, Connor is very active and loves playing outside, going to the park, and spending time with his grandparents and cousins.
Connor’s resiliency, strength and positive attitude he has maintained throughout his treatments is inspiring. Despite what he has been through in his short life, he is still one of the sweetest, funniest 3-year-olds a person could meet.
This fundraiser is designed to raise money for his family to help them enjoy special times together and to help with medical bills and other incidental costs that will continue to accrue throughout his treatment journey. For every customized bracelet, necklace, or key chain purchased as part of this fundraiser, we will donate $10 to Connor's family.
Connor and the Lloyd family are very appreciative of all the love and support that has been shown to them during this time as they continue to work towards A Cure for Connor.
